Who can enroll in Teacher Cadet courses?
Any WCPS high school junior or innovative high school sophomore is eligible to enroll in TCI. (TCI is a prerequisite for TCII).
How much does it cost?
There is no cost to enroll in Teacher Cadet courses. They are offered as elective courses through Wayne County Public Schools.
How will the courses be taught?
Students will attend synchronous online sessions three days a week and will meet face-to-face two days per week to complete assignments and field experiences. Face-to-face meetings will be held at Wayne Community College.
Do you offer transportation?
No, we do not offer transportation. Students who enroll will need to provide their own transportation for field experiences and F2F meetings that will be held at Wayne Community College.
